SUMMARY OVERVIEW 

The Exterior Aircraft Cleaner, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the cleaning and upkeep of the aircraft’s exterior. You will utilize specialized cleaning products and equipment to wash, wax, and polish the aircraft, ensuring meeting safety and aesthetic standards. Following strict protocols to work efficiently to minimize ground time, while paying attention to detail. In this role you will conduct inspections for surface damages or wears and report findings to leadership to maintain the overall appearance of the aircraft.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Wash and clean the exterior of aircrafts, including the fuselage, wings, and tail
  • Use specialized cleaning products and equipment to remove dirt, grease, and stains
  • Document cleaning activities and report any irregularities to supervisors
  • Inspect the aircraft's exterior for any damage or maintenance issues and report findings
  • Follow all safety protocols while working at heights and around aircraft
  • Coordinate with ground crew and maintenance staff for aircraft positioning and safety
  • Comply with environmental regulations regarding the use and disposal of cleaning solvents and fluids
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and equipment storage
  • Ensure the aircraft's appearance meets airline and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with team members to complete cleaning tasks efficiently and on time
  • Participate in training sessions on new cleaning techniques and safety procedures
  • Exemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • 1 Year of Customer Service 
  • 1 Year of cleaning or maintenance experience 
  • Knowledge of the Aviation Industry 
  • Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means
  • Pass a background check and drug screen 
  • Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
  • Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
