No Commute information

What is a no commute job?

A No Commute job is a position that allows you to work remotely from home or any location without the need for daily travel to an office. These jobs can be full-time, part-time, or freelance and often rely on digital tools for communication and collaboration. Common industries offering No Commute jobs include technology, customer service, writing, and marketing.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in a no commute position, and why are they important?

To thrive in a remote work position, you need strong self-motivation, time management, and the relevant qualifications or experience for your specific role. Familiarity with digital collaboration tools like Zoom, Slack, and project management systems such as Trello or Asana is commonly required. Excellent communication, adaptability, and problem-solving skills set remote workers apart by fostering effective teamwork and independent productivity. These skills are vital for maintaining performance, accountability, and connection without the structure of a traditional office environment.

What are some common challenges of working in a no commute role, and how can they be addressed?

One common challenge of working in a no-commute or fully remote role is maintaining clear boundaries between work and personal life, as the physical separation of an office is absent. Remote workers may also face feelings of isolation and need to proactively seek connection with teammates through virtual meetings and collaboration tools. Additionally, effective communication and self-discipline are crucial, as remote roles often require greater autonomy and self-management. Establishing a dedicated workspace, setting clear work hours, and participating in regular team check-ins can help address these challenges and support productivity and well-being.

Independent Tax Preparer - Remote | Build Your Book | No EFIN Required

360 Global Business

Port Saint Lucie, FL โ€ข On-site

Job description

Most tax preparers work an entire season and walk away with nothing permanent. The clients go back to the firm's marketing. The relationships you spent months building reset to zero in April. 360 Global Business was built by someone who saw that and refused to accept it.

WHAT YOU GET HERE

File under our EFIN - no EFIN of your own required. Every return reviewed by a 29-year practitioner before it transmits. Your PTIN is protected. You keep your prep fees. You build your book. We provide the firm, the compliance framework, the review, and 29 years of IRS e-file history behind every return.

What a typical week looks like:

- Meet with clients remotely via video, phone, or secure portal

- Prepare returns using professional software (training provided)

- Submit for 29-year practitioner review before transmission

- Develop your client base through your network and referrals

- No commute. No office hours. No quota. Your schedule, your clients.

WHO THIS IS ACTUALLY FOR

This is not a data entry position. We are looking for people who already understand how to build trust with clients - regardless of whether that trust was built in a tax office, an insurance agency, a real estate transaction, or a call center.

- Tax preparers currently at H&R Block, Jackson Hewitt, Liberty Tax, or similar - done building someone else's firm

- Notaries - you already have client relationships and compliance awareness

- Insurance agents - you close trust conversations for a living; we will give you the technical framework

- Realtors and mortgage professionals - commission-based, client-development focused, financially motivated

- Call center professionals and sales representatives - you understand client service; we will train the tax side

- Anyone who has filed taxes at any location and knows they are ready for more

Active PTIN preferred. If you do not have one, we will discuss the path to get it.

THE PROCESS

We do not review resumes in a pile. Shannon Williams - 29-year practitioner and Chief Tax Officer - personally reviews every application.

Step 1: Apply at 360globalbusiness.com/preparers - complete all questions and upload your resume.

Step 2: Book your screening time slot on Shannon's calendar. Your time is reserved - you will receive your interview details and next steps once your application has been reviewed within 24 hours.

Step 3: If selected, you receive a personal confirmation with your Zoom interview link and preparation instructions.

Step 4: The interview is your moment to make your case. Come specific. Come prepared.

IMPORTANT: To confirm you have read this entire posting - begin your application with the word LIGHTHOUSE in the first sentence of your self-description. Applications that skip this are not reviewed.

Pay: $30,000 - $85,000/year (commission - your clients, your fees, your book)

Type: 1099 Independent Contractor | 100% Remote | Flexible Schedule

Benefits: Flexible schedule, professional development and compliance training, year-round support, referral program, no EFIN required.
