  • Conduct requirements discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process walkthroughs to define business needs for ORBIT and related enterprise applications.
  • Translate customer needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, business rules, and process documentation.
  • Support Product Owners, project managers, and technical leads in defining minimum viable product scope, release priorities, sprint backlog items, and enhancement roadmaps.
  • Analyze current-state and future-state business processes, identify gaps, and recommend process improvements that support system modernization and user adoption.
  • Document workflows, process models, data needs, interface requirements, user roles, permissions, reporting requirements, and system behavior.
  • Collaborate with Appian developers, SharePoint developers, database engineers, and technical stakeholders to ensure requirements are feasible, traceable, testable, and aligned to mission outcomes.
  • Support data validation, migration, reporting, and interface analysis related to financial management, contracting, acquisition, HR, or business operations processes.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily coordination, reviews, retrospectives, and release planning.
  • Support testing activities, including test case development, user acceptance testing, defect documentation, regression testing, and validation of deployed functionality.
  • Prepare briefings, meeting notes, decision logs, user guides, standard operating procedures, training materials, and other documentation to support deployment and sustainment.
  • Coordinate with project managers, developers, help desk staff, and government stakeholders using tools such as Jira, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and related collaboration platforms.

Required Experience/Skills:
  • 3 years of business analysis, requirements analysis, systems analysis, process improvement, product support, or related experience.
  • Experience eliciting, documenting, and managing requirements for enterprise applications, workflow systems, financial systems, or business process modernization efforts.
  • Experience developing user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, business rules, test cases, or other delivery documentation.
  • Familiarity with Agile development processes, backlog management, sprint planning, release planning, and user acceptance testing.
  • Strong analytical, facilitation, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, functional users, project managers, and government stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and issue-tracking or Agile tools such as Jira.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance required.

Desired Experience/Skills:
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense, federal government, or federal contractor environments.
  • Experience with MDA, defense acquisition, contracting, financial management, budget execution, HR, or business operations systems.
  • Experience supporting Appian, SharePoint, low-code/no-code platforms, workflow automation, ERP systems, or enterprise modernization programs.
  • Experience conducting stakeholder workshops, process reengineering sessions, or requirements discovery sessions for application development teams.

  • Experience supporting system testing, user acceptance testing, defect triage, release readiness, training, and user adoption.
  • Familiarity with BPMN, process mapping, wireframes, mockups, functional decomposition, traceability matrices, or related business analysis artifacts.
  • Appian Analyst, Appian training, Agile, Scrum, SAFe, ITIL, or related certifications are a plus.
