Certified Nissan Technician Job Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on Nissan vehicles in accordance with Nissan factory standards and procedures
  • Utilize Nissan CONSULT systems and diagnostic tools to accurately identify concerns
  • Complete warranty repairs in compliance with Nissan policies and documentation requirements
  • Perform routine maintenance and complex repairs including engine, transmission, electrical, hybrid/EV, and drivability systems
  • Conduct thorough multi-point inspections and accurately document findings
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with Service Advisors regarding diagnostic results, repair recommendations, and timelines
  • Stay current on Nissan factory training, technical service bulletins (TSBs), and evolving technologies
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work environment
  • Contribute to a collaborative, high-performance shop culture focused on customer satisfaction and efficiency

Certified Nissan Technician Qualifications

  • Current Nissan Certification (required; Master or Senior Specialist preferred)
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Nissan dealership technician
  • Proven diagnostic proficiency using Nissan CONSULT and factory scan tools
  • Strong electrical, drivability, and powertrain diagnostic skills
  • Experience performing warranty repairs in accordance with Nissan policies and documentation standards
  • Ability to meet or exceed flat-rate production and efficiency goals
  • ASE certifications (preferred but not required)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Willingness to complete ongoing Nissan factory training and stay current with new technologies (including hybrid/EV systems)

Corporate requirements: Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record, able to pass a criminal background check, and a pre-employment drug screen.
