Full Time | Florence , SC | Locum Tenens

Location: Just an hour outside Columbia, SC - this family-friendly community lies at the intersection of Interstates 20 and 95. 1 hour from Myrtle Beach or just a couple hours to Charleston, a top destination in the region.

Qualifications:
  • BC/BE
  • Must be Neuro endovascular trained and have completed a Neuro endovascular fellowship.
    • We could consider a Radiologist with Neurovascular training, Neurologist with Neurovascular training, or even a Neurosurgeon with neurovascular training. However, please note that for Neurosurgeons we would not pay for Neurosurgery work, as they will ONLY be doing NIR work.
  • Active SC Medical License
  • Active CSR
  • DEA that can remain permanently registered in the state of SC
Assignment Details:
  • Seeking Biweekly locum NIR coverage
    • Ideal candidate would do Monday 7a - Monday 7a stretches every other week
    • Locum would be expected to be onsite starting at 7am until around 4/5pm, then be on call from then until the following morning during the week.
    • Saturday and Sunday will be 24 hour call only
    • May be asked to do ½ day of clinic for follow ups every other stretch.
  • This locum will primarily cover our inland facility. They can also expect transfers from Dillon, Clarendon, and Cheraw (our 3 rural facilities).
  • Expectation of the locum will be to perform cases as needed, respond to urgent/emergent callback cases as needed while on call, answer consults, round on patients they are responsible for/have operated on, ½ day of clinic as described above, etc.
  • We currently have 1 APP that works 7on/7off (however, we are recruiting for another), so there may be some overlap with the locum and the current APP, but it is not always 100% guaranteed.
  • We also have a full time Navigator, and a Stroke Coordinator that is a nurse that can help Monday - Friday
  • Must be comfortable working independently, as there is only 1 NIR Physician on at a time.
  • EMR: EPIC
  • We also have Rapid AI for convenience as well.
  • We also have a Semans system biplane room
  • Specific procedures: Primary- Thrombectomies for stroke cases and coiling for cerebral aneurysms.
  • Adults only - pediatrics would be shipped out.
Compensation: Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included. Paid travel and lodging available
