Can a developer get any closer to the mission than building responsive interfaces for mission users? Red Alpha is looking for an Angular UI Developer to join an exciting program that serves the core operational mission of our U.S. government customer and is transforming the way our U.S. government customer does business. This mid-sized, high-visibility program is paving the way for next-generation search, access control, and content curation capabilities at the heart of what our customer does. In this role, you will turn visual designs and wireframes into reality, creating an enhanced user experience addressing important and impactful mission needs. To be successful, you will be well-versed in the latest frameworks and will always be looking for ways to make apps easier to use and more powerful at the same time. Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Front-end development on our program's high-performance development team by leveraging modern technologies and practices including Lean Agile, Clean Code, and DevOps.
  • Support a product team, learning what makes our U.S. government customer who they are, integrating with multiple external systems, and working with the customer's most sensitive data.
  • Influence how our customer executes their mission. With classified programs we know it's hard to share what we do and have it mean anything. Trust us, you want to work with us on this program... and we want you too.
What you bring to the table:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Proven experience with JavaScript, particularly with Angular.
  • Experience with Angular 2+ and TypeScript
  • Strong professional experience in Software Engineering
  • An active TS/SCI with Polygraph level of security clearance
Bonus Skills:
  • Experience with Web Accessibility
  • Experience with Responsive Design
  • Experience with state management using Redux, NgRx, or NGXS
  • Experience with HTML5/CSS3
  • Experience with E2E testing frameworks like Protractor, Playwright, Selenium, and PhantomJS
  • Experience with testing frameworks like JUnit, Jest, and Jasmine
  • Experience converting UX mockups to UIs
  • Experience working with AWS (AWS certification a double plus!)
  • Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
  • Experience with containers (e.g., Docker)
  • Experience with Continuous Integration software like Jenkins
  • Comfortable working in a Linux environment
  • Contributes to the open-source community

Salary Range:
  • Disclosed pay ranges are a general guideline, and are not a guarantee of a final salary or compensation. Our approach in determining final salaries takes into consideration a number of factors such as education, certifications, total years of relevant professional experience, actual level of expertise, and the responsibilities of the role itself.
  • Based on the outlined roles, responsibilities, and requirements, the projected pay range for this position is $195,000 - $265,000.
