Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead and execute all aspects of shipping operations.
  • Oversee daily staffing and resources to ensure outbound expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to change of schedules, orders, and other requests.
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours or schedule.
  • Effectively communicate with staff and ensure they adhere to company rules, policies, and procedures and take disciplinary action when needed.
  • Mediate to resolve conflicts between staff and display good sense judgement to ensure involved parties are treated as equals.
  • Forge professional relationship with warehouse and planning leadership and maintain strong line of communication to meet goals and deadlines.
  • Consistently inspect orders for accuracy or damages and resolve prior to shipping inventory.
  • Use Syteline to process shipments.
  • Use carrier websites to arrange for pickup and/or delivery of product.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized shipping department.
  • Team to conduct year-end employee evaluations.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Minimum 1 year experience supervising or working with warehouse teams.
  • Competence in warehouse operations in support of manufacturing/production processes
  • Competence with inventory and supply chain management
  • Competence working with warehouse management systems, ERP or MRP systems.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite and data entry systems
  • Ability to effectively work under pressure, be flexible to change, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills
  • Competent collaborator, communicator, and team player

Required Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One or more years in a warehouse environment in shipping, receiving or other major warehouse functions
  • Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Forklift experience
  • UPS WorldShip, FedEx and LTL software experience

Physical Requirements:
  • Manual dexterity and sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Frequent climbing, bending, stooping, reaching, grasping and crouching.
  • Visual acuity to read printed and electronic documents or equipment screens.
  • Lifting and/or exerting of force up to 50 pounds frequently and team lifting heavier items.
  • Frequent pushing and pulling with a manual pallet jack or wheeled cart.

Working Environment:
  • Smoke free facility.
