RESPONSIBILITIES  


The Tailgate Night Watch supervises REVELxp tailgate sites overnight by maintaining a visible presence, monitoring site activity, and helping deter theft or unauthorized access to equipment and assets. This role is observational and reporting-focused and does not perform licensed security duties.

  • Conduct routine overnight walkthroughs of assigned tailgate areas to observe site conditions and equipment placement.
  • Maintain awareness of activity near tents, furnishings, coolers, signage, and other REVELxp assets.
  • Monitor access to tailgate sites and notify the designated REVELxp point of contact if unauthorized individuals enter or remain in the area.
  • Confirm that secured items remain locked, covered, or properly stored during the overnight shift.
  • Document and report suspicious activity, damages, missing items, unlocked equipment, or other site abnormalities.
  • Conduct spot-check inventory counts when directed to help ensure items remain accounted for.
  • Escalate urgent or unsafe situations by contacting Campus Police, then notifying the designated REVELxp point of contact.

Requirements

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Professional, and reliable, with a composed demeanor. Must represent REVELxp and partner universities in a positive light.
  • Comfortable working independently overnight while following established reporting procedures.
  • Ability to remain calm, observant, and appropriate when unexpected situations arise.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to document and report incidents clearly and promptly. 
  • Ability to work overnight hours and weekends 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods 
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds and manage light equipment, as needed
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach
  • Ability to work in varied environmental and weather conditions, including outdoor spaces 
  • Good visual acuity and attention to detail

Additional Information:
This position is a hands-off, observation-based role focused on overnight tailgate site monitoring and reporting. Team members should not physically intervene, detain individuals, or perform licensed security functions. If a situation requires further action, team members should contact Campus Police and notify REVELxp immediately.
