How much do night sweeper jobs pay per hour?

As of Jun 12, 2026, the average hourly pay for night sweeper in the United States is $18.77, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $15.87 and $21.15 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

Is 50 an hour good for house cleaning?

For a night sweeper or house cleaner, earning $50 an hour is considered above average in many regions, where typical rates range from $15 to $30 per hour. High-paying clients or specialized cleaning services may offer such rates, especially if the job requires additional skills or equipment. However, wages can vary based on location, experience, and the scope of work.

What job makes $10,000 a month without a degree?

A night sweeper typically does not earn $10,000 a month without specialized skills or experience; most cleaning jobs pay hourly wages that are significantly lower. High earnings in cleaning or maintenance roles usually require advanced certifications, management positions, or owning a franchise. Generally, jobs with such high income without a degree are rare and often involve entrepreneurship or specialized trades.

What is a Night Sweeper job?

A Night Sweeper is responsible for cleaning streets, parking lots, or large facilities during nighttime hours. Their duties may include operating sweeping machines, collecting debris, and ensuring public or private areas remain clean and safe. Night Sweepers often work independently or as part of a maintenance team to complete tasks efficiently without disrupting daily activities. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work late-night shifts.

What type of schedule and work environment can I expect as a Night Sweeper?

Night Sweepers generally work late evening and overnight shifts, often in environments such as office buildings, schools, warehouses, or retail stores after regular business hours. The work is usually independent or performed as part of a small cleaning crew, with responsibilities focused on sweeping, vacuuming, removing trash, and maintaining floors. You can expect a quiet, lower-traffic environment, which allows for uninterrupted cleaning tasks. This schedule can be ideal for individuals looking for non-traditional work hours, and showing reliability and attention to detail can open opportunities for advancement to lead or supervisory cleaning roles.

How do you become a sweeper?

To become a night sweeper, you typically need a high school diploma or equivalent and physical stamina. Experience in cleaning or custodial work can be helpful, and some employers may require training on cleaning equipment and safety procedures. Availability to work overnight shifts is also important.

What jobs pay 2000 a day?

Night sweepers typically do not earn $2000 a day; such high daily earnings are more common in specialized or high-level professions like certain consulting, investment banking, or executive roles. Most cleaning or maintenance jobs pay hourly or per project rates that are significantly lower. Achieving $2000 daily usually requires advanced skills, certifications, or working in high-demand industries.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Night Sweeper position, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Night Sweeper, you should possess attention to detail, physical stamina, and reliability, often with a high school diploma or equivalent as the baseline qualification. Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment such as floor sweepers, buffers, and industrial vacuums is typically required, though on-the-job training is common. Dependability, the ability to work independently, and strong time management skills are important soft skills for excelling in this position. These skills ensure that facilities are cleaned efficiently and thoroughly during off-hours, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for daytime operations.
