Big Bend Hospice is seeking compassionate, experienced PRN Registered Nurses to join our Inpatient Unit Night Shift Team. What You'll Do

As a PRN RN on our Inpatient Unit, you'll provide compassionate, skilled nursing care to hospice patients requiring short-term inpatient services. Working collaboratively with physicians, nursing colleagues, social workers, chaplains, and other members of the interdisciplinary team, you'll:

  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered hospice nursing care
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing evaluations
  • Administer medications and treatments while managing pain and symptoms
  • Respond promptly to changes in patient condition
  • Educate and support patients and their families
  • Document care accurately in the electronic medical record
  • Ensure patient comfort, dignity, and quality of life throughout every shift
Qualifications

Required

  • Current Florida Registered Nurse License (or Compact RN License)
  • Minimum of one year of RN experience (hospice, oncology, critical care, medical-surgical, or home health experience preferred)
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the interdisciplinary team

Preferred

  • Hospice or Palliative Care experience
  • CHPN Certification
  • BSN
