Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Cardiac ICU position requiring 2 years of experience, including 1 recent year in the specialty.

Details
  • 8-bed high acuity Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) within a hospital setting
  • Provides complex monitoring and treatment of adult cardiac patients
  • Receives patients from the Cath Lab, ED, and Acute Care areas
  • Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • 36 or 48 hours per week accepted
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holiday coverage required
  • Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals within the health system
  • Uses Meditech EMR
Requirements
  • Active RN license for the State of Alabama or compact license required (no temporary or pending licenses accepted)
  • Nursys license verification required
  • Associate's degree in nursing required
  • AHA BLS and ACLS certification required
  • AHA NIH Stroke Scale certification required (or Red Cross equivalent)
  • PALS certification preferred if working in a pediatric unit
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required; candidates with 18 months of experience under the highest level of professional license may be considered
  • Must have 1 recent year of experience in the cardiac specialty
  • No history of license actions, past or current, permitted
