This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company's locations: Driftwood Golf and Ranch Club, set outside of Austin, TX. Driftwood Golf and Ranch Club is seeking a Security Officer to join the Security Department.
The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing nighttime security operations, supervising security personnel, and ensuring the safety and protection of people, property, and assets. This role involves enforcing security policies, responding to incidents, and maintaining a secure environment in accordance with company standards and legal requirements.
***Full-time hourly role. Starting pay $31.62- $32.62 per hour.***
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise, train, and schedule security officers to always ensure adequate coverage
  • Monitor nightly security operations, including patrols, access control, and surveillance systems
  • Enforce company-wide projects and specific security policies, procedures, and safety regulations
  • Respond to and manage incidents, emergencies, and alarms in a calm and professional manner
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify security risks or safety hazards
  • Prepare and review incident reports, logs, and daily activity reports
  • Coordinate with management, law enforcement, and emergency services when required
  • Investigate security breaches, thefts, or disturbances and recommend corrective actions. Partner with Human Resources when applicable.
  • Ensure security staff comply with licensing, training, and performance standards
  • Assist in developing and improving security procedures and emergency response plans

Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor's degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 4 years in law enforcement, military, or armed security
  • Active Texas DPS Level 4 PPO Commission (required)
  • Hospitality security preferred
  • Strong knowledge of security procedures, access control, and emergency response
  • Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact confidently with high-net-worth individuals and VIPs
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Professional, articulate, and capable of exercising sound judgment under pressure
  • Proficient in report writing and basic computer systems
  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods

Certifications & Requirements (if applicable)
  • Valid leadership or supervisory certificate of training
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred
  • Advanced medical training, preferred.
  • Background check and drug screening required
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Successfully pass Discovery Land Company weapons qualifications course.
