Job Summary:
Supermicro is seeking a Power Supply Design Engineer who can lead the product design, review, and validation of server power supply and related products. The ideal engineer will not just lead a team but will be a hands-on and shall have 2+ years ITE server power supply design experiences cover PFC, flyback, LLC, phase shift, power sharing, OringFET applications in mass production with records. This individual will be required to work cross-department and assist product managers as needed in product design and development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
  • Design and develop high-efficiency, high-power-density power supplies and DC-to-DC converters.
  • Support the development and testing of power shelves, including functional and performance validation.
  • Participate in design reviews during new product development to ensure designs meet performance, quality, and reliability requirements.
  • Contribute to performance optimization and quality improvement efforts for existing power supply products.
  • Review second-source technical data and test reports, and assist with the implementation and validation of second-source components.
  • Assist with power supply system analysis, including investigation of RMA issues and implementation of corrective actions to improve product reliability.
  • Participate in power supply bench test and system level qualifications test.

Qualifications:
  • BSEE/MSEE with 2 years switching mode power supply design. Best to have OCP ORV3 Power shelf or ORV3 PSU design skill preferred. Job leveling may be adjusted based on years of relevance experience.
  • Totem Pole PFC development skills preferred
  • Battery Backup Unit design skill (Battery charger, High power & High density DCDC convertor preferred)
  • AC input 3 phase PFC development skill preferred
  • High power Brick DC to DC converter development preferred
  • Abilities to work independently in a highly efficient way to achieve design goals with quality, efficiency, and with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills, excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated, team player with ability to work in fast-paced environment

Salary Range
$105,000 - $125,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
