We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Senior Operations Supervisor (SOS) to oversee night-shift operations at our CRDC serving Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). The Senior Operations Manager will lead Operations Supervisors and the Logistics Specialist team, drive operational excellence, make critical real-time decisions, and ensure the highest levels of safety, efficiency, and customer service. We're counting on you to effectively manage operations within the receiving and redistribution dock and cultivation of strong ties with vendors and customers This critical role, you will collaborate with other departments to meet customer KPIs and SLAs and act as a champion of BAL's company values.

Requirements for the Senior Operations Manager (SOS):

  • Associate's degree or a minimum of 3 years directly related industry (logistics/airport/airline) experience.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, email, databases, Internet); ability to execute action plans; detail-oriented with strong written and oral communication.
  • Valid driver's license; ability to pass TSA background check and pre-employment drug/alcohol test.
  • Ability to travel or relocate if desired.

Responsibilities as the Senior Operations Manager (SOS) will be:

  • Provide hands-on leadership to ensure teammates are trained, engaged, and consistently compliant with all BAL, airport, TSA, customer, and regulatory procedures and standards.
  • Oversee daily operational execution, including opening and closing procedures, scheduling, and coordination of distribution center activities to ensure all service commitments and performance targets are met.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency by enforcing process controls, monitoring operational performance, and ensuring adherence to established standards and policies.
  • Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, airport stakeholders, and internal teams to resolve operational and maintenance issues quickly, minimize disruptions, and optimize overall performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance productivity, safety, and cost efficiency while ensuring consistent and fair administration of company policies and procedures.
