Job description

Amergis Staffing is seeking experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses for night-shift, 8-week per-diem assignments beginning July 30, 2026. These roles support a high-volume Level I Trauma environment serving a diverse metropolitan patient population with complex medical, surgical, psychiatric, and resuscitative needs.

Position Overview

ER RNs will deliver rapid, high-acuity emergency care across the full spectrum of patient conditions. Responsibilities include rapid triage, comprehensive assessment, trauma and medical resuscitation, stabilization, and simultaneous management of multiple critical patients. This role requires advanced critical-care skill, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced trauma setting.

Requirements
  • One recent year of experience as an RN in a Level I Trauma Center

  • Active Registered Nurse license

  • BLS, ACLS, NHISS

  • MAB or CPI

  • LA Fire Card

  • Strong trauma and resuscitation competency

Compensation

Local RN – Per Diem (24 hours) Hourly Pay: $54 Estimated Weekly Pay Package: $1,296

Travel RN – Per Diem (24 hours) Hourly Pay: $23 Weekly Meals: $400 Weekly Housing: $1,000 Estimated Weekly Pay Package: $1,952

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care in the emergency room setting or other emergent critical care areas.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current Registered Nurse License within the state of practice
  • Minimum of one year emergency room experience preferred
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable   
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements    
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
