Network Engineer (Contract-to-Hire)

Location: Salina, KS (Onsite)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day Shift (Flexible Start Time)

Employment Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire

Overview

Our organization is seeking a Network Engineer to support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure in a primarily Cisco-based environment. This role is responsible for network administration, troubleshooting, monitoring, upgrades, and infrastructure projects that support critical business operations.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with IT teams on operational and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN network infrastructure.
  • Monitor network performance and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity and performance issues.
  • Configure, install, upgrade, and maintain network hardware and software.
  • Participate in infrastructure projects, system implementations, and technology upgrades.
  • Support network security initiatives and best practices.
  • Maintain network documentation, configurations, and standards.
  • Support remote access technologies and connectivity solutions.
  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve issues and support deployments.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for critical support needs.
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in Network Engineering, Network Administration, or a related infrastructure role.
