Registered Nurse / RN - Night Shift - Med Surg Intermediate Care Unit

Are you a dedicated Registered Nurse looking for a full-time night shift position in a high-acuity medical-surgical intermediate care unit? This is your opportunity to join a respected hospital team focused on patient-centered care, clinical excellence, and nurse empowerment.
You'll care for a wide range of patients recovering from surgical procedures and medical conditions, including those in urology, thoracic surgery, bariatrics, colorectal surgery, and surgical oncology. Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an NLN-accredited School of Nursing
  • Active NJ RN License in good standing
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • ACLS or PALS may be required depending on specialty assignment
  • Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Previous experience in med-surg or step-down/intermediate care preferred
Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care to patients with complex surgical and medical needs
  • Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient conditions
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and efficiently
  • Document all care activities accurately in the EMR
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including providers, care managers, and leadership
  • Participate in cross-training and performance improvement initiatives
  • Work three 12-hour night shifts per week in a 30-bed, single-room unit
