Job description

Light Duty Tow Driver
$1,500 Sign on Bonus in State and $2,500 Sign on Bonus Out of State
NIGHT SHIFT - NIGHT SHIFT - This is a full-time primary position which may include long hours. Must be flexible.
Guardian Fleet Services is looking for a new team member to join our growing family. The Light Duty Tow Truck Driver will be driving a commercial towing and recovery vehicle with a GVWR rating of less than 25,999 lbs. and must possess a valid driver’s license relative to the vehicle being operated and towed combination.
Essential Duties:
  • Reliable, strong customer service and professional demeanor
  • Ability to drive and perform duties via interstate for towing, recovery, and/or transport
  • Ability to communicate and work closely with Dispatch
  • Ability to perform vehicle inspection sheet daily, identifying any mechanical issues
  • Ability to follow all safety requirements and DOT rules and regulations
  • Report all mechanical issues with regard to trucks and trailers at the time of discovery.
  • Ability to work with software and computer programs i.e. Samsara, GPS, and Tow book a plus
  • Other duties as assigned.
Competencies and Abilities

  • Ability to communicate calmly and effectively
  • Basic technology skills. Ability to use GPS, company-issued software, mobile device
  • Time management skills
  • Basic mechanical skills and ability to use tools
  • Attention to detail and accuracy when documenting work, hours, and information
Qualifications, Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED (preferred).
  • Relevant trade school - Towing, recovery or transport accreditation.
  • At least two (2) years of relative commercial driving experience.
  • Basic mechanical skills and ability to use tools.
Physical Requirements
Job requires lifting, crawling, pulling, constant use of hands, significant bending and reaching, climbing. Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, working outdoors in the environment can be exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat and other weather conditions. Lifting over 50lbs is a job requirement must not have any lifting restrictions.
