Job description

Night Shift Dispatcher

Transdev in Winter Park, Colorado is hiring a Night Shift Dispatcher. The Dispatcher oversees road service through communication with Operators and provides customer support to the clients. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

• Competitive compensation package of $29.00 - $30.90 hour

Benefits include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee road service assigned carriers by tracking trip performance measures, route begin on time, performance, incidents, etc.
  • Provide customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding customer trips including no shows, cancellations and missed trips.
  • Manage emergency situations for vehicle operators, act as liaison between the carrier and emergency services.
  • Manage daily service by reviewing route performance and proactively responding to situations that impact customer service.
  • Provide seasonal operational support by driving during summer months and assisting with dispatch operations during winter months, including coverage for dispatcher vacations and absences.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED; Technical Degree preferred
  • Preferred: Class B CDL with Passenger Endorsement, or the ability to obtain upon hire (training provided).
  • Proficient with computers and quick to learn new systems and programs
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed. Must be available to work Sunday through Thursday, from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM. Schedule may vary based on operational needs.
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Physical Requirements:

The essential functions of this position require the ability to:

• Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces

• Push and pull objects up to 25 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level

• Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
