First Connect Health is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York.

Med-Surg / Telemetry Registered Nurse – Night Shift

  • Schedule: Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 19:00 – 07:00 | 36 Hours Per Week
  • Weekend Protocol: Every other weekend requirement.
  • Assignment Length: 13-Week Contract (Start Date: 09/08/2026)
  • Orientation: 16 Hours (Non-billable). - Paid
  • Floating Protocol: Required based on facility operational needs.
  • Radius Rule [HARDSTOP]: Local candidates are not accepted; permanent address must be greater than 75 miles from the facility. First-time travelers are accepted provided they meet ratio experience requirements.

Submission Hardstops [STRICT & NON-NEGOTIABLE]
  • State Licensure Mandate [CRITICAL HARDSTOP]: Active New York State RN License MUST BE IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION (no exceptions or pending licenses).
  • Experience Baseline [HARDSTOP]: Minimum 1 year of acute care Med-Surg / Telemetry experience. Must have documented experience managing high-volume 1:6 patient ratios (ranging 1:5 to 1:7).
  • Charge RN Experience [HARDSTOP]: Prior Charge Nurse experience is required.
  • EMR Mandate [HARDSTOP]: Direct clinical documentation experience in Epic EMR is required.
  • Licensure & Certifications [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION]:
    • Active New York State RN License.
    • Active AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
    • Active NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification (must include certificate copy in submittal package).
