HandyRides is a Princeton-based mobility start-up dedicated to providing safe, affordable, and high-quality transportation. We partner with colleges, healthcare providers, housing organizations, and other community-serving institutions to connect people with work, school, healthcare, and other essential destinations.

We are launching service in Atlanta and hiring Driver Ambassadors to help us provide an outstanding experience for our riders.

WHAT IS THE JOB ALL ABOUT?

As a Driver Ambassador, you will operate Tesla Model Y vehicles within designated service areas in Atlanta. Beyond driving, you will engage with passengers, answer questions, and help ensure that every rider has a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys driving, interacting with people, using technology, and making a positive difference in their community.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide safe and reliable transportation for riders throughout the designated service area.
  • Create a friendly, welcoming, and high-quality passenger experience.
  • Operate vehicles safely and efficiently while maintaining excellent customer-service standards.
  • Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and service requirements.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Ensure vehicles remain clean, charged, and ready for service.
  • Use smartphones, GPS applications, and HandyRides technology to complete trips.
  • Communicate promptly with the HandyRides operations team regarding delays, vehicle issues, or rider concerns.
  • Represent HandyRides professionally when interacting with riders, institutional partners, and members of the community.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING?

Required:

  • At least three years of safe driving experience.
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Strong customer-service skills and enthusiasm for working with the public.
  • High standards for maintaining a respectful, welcoming, and friendly atmosphere inside the vehicle.
  • Comfort using technology, including smartphones and GPS applications.
  • Dependability, punctuality, and a strong commitment to safety.
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Availability for some night and weekend shifts is preferred.
