Job description

Pay Rate: $16.56
Per Diem   weekday and weekend day shifts available

GENERAL SCOPE: To Provide professional caregiving services and enable the client to remain independent in his or her home.

 EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION: High school diploma or equivalent. Must have valid NYS driver’s license. Must be able to work independently and complete all functions listed below without direct supervision. A personal mobile phone is required with the capability to use electronic system for scheduling.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist with walking and light exercise
  • Plan and prepare meals followed by clean up
  • Leaning of bathroom and kitchen to maintain a safe healthy environment
  • Making beds and change bed linens
  • Light housekeeping to include light dusting and light vacuuming
  • Laundry
  • Supervise household maintenance such as housecleaning service, plumber, gardener
  • Run errands
  • Provide incidental transportation using client or caregiver car
  • In sleepover situations assist client to and from bed, assist client throughout the night, prepare morning meals and clean up, launder your sheets
  • Document activities in the care plan book daily
  • Sign in and out using the telephone clock in system each shift
  • Enter mileage driven for the client via the telephone clock-in system
  • Report any significant client changes to the office immediately
  • Maintain required communication using established systems
  • All other job duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in this or equivalent role
