Description:

A Day in the Life (Summary):

Bartenders at Country Club of Detroit work under guidance from the Executive Bartenders. Bartenders mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages based on member requests. They must verify age and identification of members, prepare and serve beverages, clean glasses and bar utensils and handle correct billing information. This position is specifically servicing our Men's locker room bar.


Essential Job Duties:

  • Preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (i.e. mix traditional and creative cocktails, pour beer, wine, soda, etc.)
  • Interacting with members, taking orders and serving drinks
  • Setting up and breaking down banquet bars
  • Polishing and carrying racks of glassware
  • Stocking and replenishing bar inventory and supplies (i.e. beer, wine, liquor, fruit, soda cans, etc.)
  • Maintaining a clean and organized bar area and stock area
Requirements:

Minimum Skills & Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
  • Ability to evaluate customer satisfaction and be responsive
  • Impeccable customer service and social perceptiveness
  • Ability to enforce club policies regarding the consumption of alcohol and other rules & etiquette of the club
  • Accountability in maintaining inventory and processing chits
  • Physical ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Open availability, preferred
  • Potential for full-time status

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent walking throughout premises
  • Standing for prolonged periods of time
  • Bending, Stooping and lifting regularly
  • Fast-paced environment with exposure to loud music/noises and alcohol
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds on occasion
