Position Description:
The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing front desk operations during overnight hours while performing daily accounting and financial reconciliation tasks. This position ensures exceptional guest service, accurate financial reporting, and smooth overnight hotel operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform guest check-in and check-out procedures during overnight shifts.
  • Respond to guest requests, inquiries, and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Balance and reconcile daily financial transactions, including room revenue, cash receipts, credit card transactions, and other hotel accounts.
  • Complete the nightly audit process and generate required financial and operational reports.
  • Verify the accuracy of guest accounts, charges, and billing information.
  • Process payments and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
  • Prepare and distribute daily management reports.
  • Monitor hotel security and conduct property walkthroughs as required.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping, Maintenance, and other departments regarding overnight operational needs.
  • Maintain the front desk, lobby, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
  • Answer telephone calls, process reservations, and assist guests with hotel information.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and guest service standards.
  • Handle emergency situations and follow established safety and security protocols.
