# Registered Nurse (RN) – NICU Contract

Facility: Adventist Health Bakersfield

Location: Bakersfield, CA

Address: 2615 Chester Ave, Bakersfield, CA 93301

Duration: 13 Weeks

Schedule: Days | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours/Week

Pay Rate: $62 – $64/hr

**Estimated Weekly Pay:** $2,232 – $2,304/week

### Job Summary

Provide specialized nursing care for neonatal patients in a Level NICU setting, including assessment, monitoring, stabilization, treatment, family education, and collaboration with neonatologists and multidisciplinary teams.

### Requirements

- Active California RN License

- Minimum 2 years recent NICU experience

- Acute Care Hospital experience required

- Experience caring for critically ill neonates

- EPIC experience preferred (EPIC Backfill Assignment)

- Ability to float to newborn care areas when needed

- RN License (CA) – Required

- BLS (AHA) – Required

- NRP – Required

- S.T.A.B.L.E. Certification – Required

- 9-Bed NICU

- EMR: Cerner

- Medication System: Pyxis

- 24/7 Pharmacy Support

- Census-based staffing with dedicated Charge Nurse

- Orientation and facility call-offs are billable

### Floating Requirement

- Floating Required: YES

- NICU nurses may float to:

- Labor & Delivery (L&D) – Well Newborn Care

- Postpartum (PP) – Well Newborn Care
