Job description

The NFL Media Group is seeking a versatile Associate Producer/Editor to play a big role in the production of video and audio for various digital media platforms. A successful candidate will be adept in the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and edit with creativity and speed, have technical experience working in video and audio production, and have a detailed knowledge of football. Success in this role is reliant on being a self-starter, a creative thinker, and displaying technical and editorial skillset in creating digital content.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in day-to-day production needs of NFL Media
  • Edit high-end video material including player highlight packages, podcasts, creative features, long-form shows and social clips
  • Edit audio podcasts and publish shows to audio hosting platform
  • Work with producers and researchers to create, proof and run live on-screen graphics including breaking news, current NFL topics and stats related to show content
  • Experience operating vMix Live Video Streaming Software
  • Ensure content meets NFL Media's high-quality editorial standards
  • Formulate and pitch ideas for show elements (edited pieces and/or specialty graphics) as well as segment topics in production meetings
  • Adhere to established production schedule to meet deadlines
  • Identify ways to improve the production process
  • Must be able to multitask and balance multiple/shifting priorities

Required Qualifications
  • At least 3-5 years' experience in related field
  • Strong NFL knowledge (present day & historical)
  • Demonstrate knowledge and ability with live studio-related production technologies, multi-platform workflows and equipment
  • Strong editorial judgement and attention to detail/organizational skills
  • Ability to decipher the most important and up-to-date information for all NFL stories
  • Strong understanding of workflows in control rooms and edit environments
  • Experience with vMix or other cloud-based production tools.
  • Experience with video encoding platforms and tools
  • Fluency with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite

Physical Demands
  • Carrying or pushing small equipment is possible

Terms / Expected Hours of Work
  • Seasonal, 40 hours or less/week
  • Flexible schedule is a must including weekends, holidays, and late nights
