POSITION SUMMARY
The Cleveland Browns are looking for a bold, creative Social Media Coordinator who is obsessed with what's next. This role is for a content creator at heart - someone who doesn't just follow trends but sets them. You will be the driving creative force behind the Browns' presence on TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook and beyond, producing short-form video and platform-native content that pushes boundaries and reflects the energy of one of the NFL's most passionate fan bases.
The ideal candidate brings a filmmaker's eye, an editor's instincts, and a deep-seated curiosity about where digital culture is headed. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role that rewards creative risk-taking and original thinking.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Short-Form Video Creation & Production
  • Concept, shoot, and edit high-quality vertical video content daily for TikTok, Instagram/Facebook Reels and YouTube Shorts.
  • Develop original series, recurring formats, and one-off creative concepts that build audience habits and drive shareability
  • Stay ahead of trending audio, visual styles, transitions, and platform-specific formats - and execute on them before the moment passes
  • Edit footage quickly and decisively in a live environment, publishing time-sensitive content with speed and accuracy
  • Explore and experiment with emerging formats and bring new approaches to the team
  • Design simplified motion graphics, memes, and text overlays; edit pre-existing Creative team templates for social use

Social Media Channel Management
  • Play major role in day-to-day publishing and community management across TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, Threads, X (Twitter), Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn
  • Provide real-time social coverage at all Browns events: training camp, the NFL Draft, Combine, home/away games, post-season, and community activations
  • Engage authentically with fans and use those conversations to surface content ideas and deepen community connections
  • Support Browns athletes, coaches, and staff with social best practices and amplify their personal content on team channels where appropriate
  • Manage live streams for press conferences, content series, and major events

Content Strategy & Calendar
  • Serve as key contributor for the creation and maintenance of the forward-looking social content calendar across all platforms
  • Bring a continuous pipeline of fresh ideas to weekly editorial meetings, grounded in platform data, fan behavior, and cultural awareness
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the Creative, PR, Community Relations, and Partnerships teams to align social content with broader organizational moments
  • Monitor platform algorithm changes and audience insights and adapt the content strategy accordingly

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Communications, Film/Video Production, Marketing, or a related field
  • Experience managing social media accounts for a professional or major collegiate sports franchise, entertainment property, or comparable high-volume brand. Prior NFL experience a plus, but not required
  • Exceptional short-form video production skills - you can shoot, edit, and publish polished content under pressure in a live environment
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop; After Effects and Illustrator a plus
  • Deep, native understanding of TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook and YouTube Shorts - you use these platforms every day and know what makes content perform
  • Strong on-camera direction instincts and the ability to identify compelling moments in real time
  • Sharp copywriting skills with the ability to match voice and tone to each platform and audience
  • Solid understanding of the game of football and the NFL landscape
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously under deadline pressure
  • Collaborative team player with strong cross-functional communication skills
  • Availability to work non-traditional hours - nights, weekends, and holidays - in sync with the NFL calendar
  • Ability to travel 25-30% of the time for away games and major league events

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
A portfolio or demo reel showcasing your short-form video and social media content is required for initial consideration - links preferred. Finalists will be asked to complete a creative skills assessment as part of the interview process.
We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
