Job description

Overview

SCRI Oncology Partners is looking to add a fellowship trained Breast Surgeon to its busy community based oncology practice in the Greater Nashville area.  This physician will join an established breast surgeon as well as 2 General Hematologist/Oncologists and 10 research centric Hematologist/Oncologists.  The practice will be growing in the future with additional General Hematologist/Oncologists, Radiation Oncology and other oncologic related surgical specialties.  We have strong ties to a local hospital system that includes breast radiology, surgical suites, first assist support and a network of Reconstructive Plastic Surgeons to optimize great patient outcomes.  SCRI Oncology Partners has a direct affiliation with the highly acclaimed Sarah Cannon Research Institute.  Our strong community based practice enables patients to receive high-quality care while staying close to home, work, family and their vital support network.  The majority of our care is provided in an outpatient setting where we offer chemotherapy, radiation therapy, advanced technologies like immunotherapy, genetic testing and genomic sequencing.

Historic Nashville, capital city of Tennessee is also known as Music City as it is home to the Grand Ole Opry being the epicenter of the country music industry.  This is displayed throughout the bustling downtown where you can find the Country Music Hall of Fame and live music scene on every corner.  Nashville is home to several universities including prestigious Vanderbilt in a neighborhood that is a foodies dream with several unique dining options in the area.  Other local attractions include the historic Hermitage, plantation home to American president Andrew Jackson, Nashville Symphony and Ballet.  Nashville is a great place for sports enthusiasts as its residents enjoy NFL's Tennessee Titans and the NHL's Predators.  Lastly, local Nashville International Airport is served by several major airlines that fly nonstop to more than 100 destinations both domestic and international.
