ARBOC Specialty Vehicles, LLC ("ARBOC") is North America's low-floor, body-on-chassis ("cutaway") bus leader serving transit, paratransit, and shuttle applications. A subsidiary of NFI Group, a leader in propulsion agnostic bus and coach mobility solutions, ARBOC leads the low-floor cutaway bus market providing unsurpassed passenger accessibility and comfort over traditional high-floor cutaway vehicles. ARBOC also offers a medium-duty bus for transit and shuttle applications. With more than 5,000 buses produced, ARBOC provides Equal Access for Everyoneยฎ.
Position Summary: As a critical member of our Production team, you will play a hands-on role in the sub-assembly and installation of major components for our vehicles.
Starting wage: $19.50
Location: 51165 Greenfield Parkway, Middlebury, IN 46540
Essential Duties:
  • Work effectively in a team environment
  • Must be able to perform all work allocated
  • Must be able to work from blueprints, process sheets and/or instructions
  • Must be able to read a tape measure and have basic math skills.
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision

Requirements
  • Experience with general assembly
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Computer and organizational skills
  • Goal orientated and motivation to achieve tasks within set timelines
  • Previous experience with 5S and lean manufacturing would be considered an asset.
  • Time management and thoroughness

Physical & Workplace Requirements:
  • Ability to lift items over 25 lbs. regularly, perform repetitive movements (bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing), and work on elevated surfaces or confined spaces.
  • Must be able to stand and walk on hard surfaces for extended periods (up to 8+ hours).
