Job description

ABOUT NEXVEL

Since 2014, Nexvel has helped local businesses - home services companies, healthcare organizations, franchises, professional service firms, and growing regional brands - compete in a tech-driven world. Our mission is to bring the big-brand experience to local brands.

Today we're building a new kind of agency model: combining a decade of local business marketing expertise with AI-assisted workflows, automation, and modern client success systems. We're looking for an Account Manager who can help us deliver that experience at a higher level.

THE ROLE

The Account Manager serves as the primary relationship and coordination lead between Nexvel and our clients. You'll keep client communication, marketing priorities, internal tasks, timelines, reporting, and deliverables organized and moving forward.

This is not a passive client service role. We're looking for someone highly organized, professional, proactive, tech-comfortable, and genuinely interested in helping local businesses grow.

Just as important, we want someone who brings hands-on background in at least one digital marketing channel - not to execute campaigns, but to review the team's work with an experienced eye, spot things worth investigating, and offer informed suggestions that strengthen what we deliver and help you understand how Nexvel works.

You'll work closely with leadership, strategists, designers, developers, SEO and paid media specialists, content teams, and technology partners to ensure clients feel supported, informed, and confident in the work being done on their behalf.

LOGISTICS
  • Full-time position - Account Manager
  • In-office at our Elkins Park, PA location to start, with hybrid flexibility as you ramp up and get comfortable in the role
  • Local travel required for client meetings across the Greater Philadelphia area
  • Reports to the two agency partners

WHAT YOU'LL DOClient Relationship Management
  • Serve as primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients
  • Build strong relationships with business owners, office managers, marketing contacts, and internal client stakeholders
  • Understand each client's business, goals, services, target customers, local market, and marketing priorities
  • Lead client check-ins, status calls, follow-up meetings, and internal recap discussions
  • Make clients feel heard, supported, and confident that Nexvel is actively managing their account
Project & Task Management
  • Create and send meeting notes, action items, next steps, and follow-up summaries
  • Track open tasks, client requests, internal assignments, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Coordinate with internal team members to move website updates, SEO work, content, design, advertising, reporting, CRM, and marketing automation tasks forward
  • Follow up consistently so nothing falls through the cracks
  • Help prepare proposals, scopes of work, contracts, client updates, and renewal conversations
Marketing Coordination
  • Translate client needs into clear internal direction for the team
  • Review reports, campaign updates, and team deliverables to identify trends, questions, concerns, and opportunities
  • Draw on your own channel experience to flag work worth a second look and suggest improvements
  • Help clients understand what's being done, why it matters, and what the next priority should be
  • Support proactive recommendations based on client goals, campaign performance, seasonality, and business needs
AI-Assisted Agency Operations
  • Use Nexvel's internal systems, AI-assisted workflows, and client intelligence processes to improve account management
  • Maintain accurate client information, marketing priorities, meeting notes, and campaign history
  • Participate in the continued development of Nexvel's next-generation agency operating model
  • Bring curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to learn new tools and processes

Requirements

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORRequired
  • 2-5 years of experience in account management, client success, marketing coordination, project management, or agency operations
  • Hands-on experience in at least one channel (paid ads, SEO, social, or content writing) - enough to review the team's work critically and offer informed input, not to run campaigns yourself
  • Broader working knowledge of digital marketing: websites, Google Business Profile, email marketing, lead tracking, and CRM
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent follow-up, organization, and task management
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities simultaneously
  • Comfort presenting to and communicating with business owners, executives, internal teams, and vendors
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (local travel required)
Strongly Preferred
  • Experience at a marketing agency, digital agency, web company, or local business marketing environment
  • Experience with Google Workspace, project management software, reporting dashboards, or AI/marketing automation tools
  • Comfortable with new technology and interest in modernizing how agencies work

THIS ROLE IS NOT A FIT IF YOU
  • Need every task handed to you step by step
  • Avoid client communication
  • Are uncomfortable with technology or new tools
  • Struggle with follow-up, details, or deadlines
  • Prefer to work in a narrow role with limited client interaction
  • Are looking for a purely creative, purely strategic, or purely administrative position

Benefits

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • Base salary: $60,000/year
  • Performance bonus opportunity based on client retention and account growth
  • Medical and dental insurance
  • IRA with 3% employer match
  • Paid time off
  • Flexible schedule

Work directly with leadership and have visibility into how the company is evolving

Help shape a new agency model combining strong client relationships, marketing expertise, and AI-assisted systems
