Purpose:
The Coordinator of Student Life is responsible for supporting the Student Life office and

coordinating various program and activities for students.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the master calendar of campus events, from weeks of welcome to cultural, recreational, and wellness programs;
  • Serve as a visible, on-campus presence during nighttime events to ensure student safety, monitor behavior, and manage emergency protocols;
  • Plans, develops, executes and evaluates comprehensive leadership, educational, and risk management program(s) for all members of Greek Life, including required trainings for organization/council officers and members
  • Provide coaching for and attend and facilitate meetings with fraternity and sorority chapter leaders as assigned
  • Assess and evaluate programs and services through attendance tracking, surveys, and other assessment methods to support continuous improvement and student engagement goals.
  • Collaborate with other campus departments, such as Residence Life and Academic Departments,
  • Provide co-curricular programs that support community-building, wellness, and student success;
  • Design and manage late-night events, weekend trips, and campus traditions;
  • Handle logistical details like facility reservations, equipment setup, and catering;
  • Promote evening events across campus using social media, flyers, and university portals to maximize student attendance and participation;
  • Serve on university committees and represent Student Life at campus events, orientations, recruitment programs, and special initiatives as assigned.
  • Participate fully in Student Engagement and Student Life functions, meetings, and programs;
  • Supervise student staff;
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

Self-motivator, independent, cooperative, flexible, creative

Must be available to work non-traditional hours, typically Monday through Friday (e.g., 5:00pm to 10:00pm) Experience in handling multiple priorities and handling conflict

Effective verbal and written communications skills and effective presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in higher education/student affairs or related field

One to three years of experience in student affairs, campus activities, Greek Life, orientation, leadership development, or related areas in higher education

Hours: Eight (8) hours per day, Monday-Friday 40 hours a week. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support programs, events, and university initiatives.
