Job description

Fire Alarm Technician


NextGen Technologies has been doing commercial fire protection and low-voltage in the Savannah market for 20+ years. We're adding an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to our service crew. If you can troubleshoot a panel, knock out an NFPA 72 inspection, and work independently, we want to talk.


What you'll do

  • Install, service, inspect, and program commercial fire alarm systems (Notifier, Silent Knight, Fire-Lite, etc.)
  • Run service calls. Troubleshoot panels, devices, NACs, IDCs/SLCs
  • Perform annual inspections and testing to NFPA 72
  • Read prints, pull permits, work clean, document the job
  • Coordinate with the AHJ on acceptance tests


What we need

  • 5+ years of hands-on commercial fire alarm experience (3+ considered for the right candidate)
  • NICET II preferred. Not required. We'll pay for you to get it.
  • Solid low-voltage fundamentals (conduit, terminations, schematics)
  • Valid driver's license and clean MVR
