Meet Your Future Neighbors

As a Compensation Analyst at Nextdoor, you will help us invest in our employee community by developing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving our compensation programs. You will be a key member of our People team and work directly with employees at all levels, in every function, across our entire organization.

In this role you'll lead and support People team initiatives, conduct market research and analysis, and monitor compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. You'll also be responsible for developing and maintaining internal tools, analyzing data and metrics, and improving the overall company through insights you surface about our compensation and broader people programs.

We aren't looking for prompt engineers; we're looking for people who use tools like Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, and Glean to challenge their own thinking and take full ownership of AI-assisted outputs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, building, and maintaining compensation tooling and dashboards to deliver insights that guide compensation decisions
  • Supporting cyclical and ongoing programs including compensation planning and review cycles
  • Conducting market research and analysis for compensation, including participating in market compensation surveys and maintaining of global benchmarks
  • Building and maintaining financial models and running scenario analysis to support compensation program development and alignment with company goals
  • Participating in a variety of compensation and people related projects, including building tools and refining processes to help all of Nextdoor work efficiently and productively together
  • Participate in in-person Nextdoor events such as trainings, off-sites, volunteer days, and team building exercises
  • Build in-person relationships with team members and contribute to Nextdoor's company culture
What You'll Bring To The Team
  • 3-5 years relevant experience working with People programs including compensation, benefits, analytics, talent acquisition, or talent management
  • Analytical skills to interpret and present data effectively, coupled with problem-solving skills to navigate complex processes
  • Comfort working with Workday and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs)
  • Intermediate to advanced spreadsheet skills (lookups, pivots, queries)
  • Eagerness and grace to help others make challenging decisions at the right time
  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to compensation
  • Strong attention to detail, with a knack for dependably maintaining data while working carefully with sensitive personal or confidential information
Rewards

Compensation, benefits, perks, and recognition programs at Nextdoor come together to create our total rewards package. Compensation will vary depending on your relevant skills, experience, and qualifications. Compensation may also vary by geography.

The starting salary for this role is expected to range from $110,000 to $160,000 on an annualized basis, or potentially greater in the event that your 'level' of proficiency exceeds the level expected for the role.

We expect to award a meaningful equity grant for this role. With quarterly vesting, your first vest date will take place within 3 months of your start date.
