Job Summary/Description:

WALB News 10 in Albany, Georgia, is looking for a Producer / Content Creator to join our award-winning news team. This is a great opportunity for journalists - you will be thoroughly trained and placed in a collaborative environment and positive culture, with managers who have open doors, listen, and give constructive feedback. You will be put in a position to succeed!

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- WALB Producers DO NOT merely write news stories. We think of them as Content Creators - when they have the opportunity to tell stories on multiple platforms, including web, social media, and livestreaming.
- We have a digital-first mindset at WALB, which is why we have some of the top-performing digital metrics in the company.
- Our producers embrace creative ways to tell stories, using tools like Canva.
- We cross-train new employees to learn all aspects of our news delivery processes.
- Growth opportunities abound!

Qualifications/Requirements:

- An educational background in either journalism or communications.
- Must be flexible with respect to scheduling and/or assigned work shifts.
- Must be willing to work in a newsroom.
