Job description

Who are we hiring?  

The Associate Creative Director will drive the creative vision and voice for the New York Rangers brand. This role is responsible for developing work that transcends traditional advertising and sports content to create culturally impactful storytelling. Reporting to the Creative Director, the Associate Creative Director will lead the development of breakthrough creative concepts and copy across all New York Rangers business initiatives and media platforms. This role will partner closely with cross-functional teams across the organization to build strong relationships and deliver compelling, high-impact creative work. 

What will you do? 

  • Lead the creative development for advertising, digital content, and integrated campaigns for the New York Rangers.
  • Concept and develop communications across multiple channels, including radio, social, digital, television, and experiential platforms.
  • Write compelling copy for Rangers content across social media, TV, OOH, email, web, mobile app, and other marketing platforms.
  • Partner with the Creative Studio team to develop breakthrough creative work across all channels.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful execution of creative initiatives.
  • Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to our appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site.  

 What do you need to succeed?  

  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Advertising, or similar. 
  • 6+ years of experience in advertising, marketing, or brand content creation, preferably on a creative team in an agency or agency-style environment
  • Background in copywriting
  • Deep knowledge of and passion for professional hockey
  • Experience with strategy-based creative development.  
  • Thorough understanding of all aspects of print, digital, video, new media design and production
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional schedule/hours as needed to accommodate player and team schedules  
  • Eye for high quality, brand appropriate creative 
  • Ability to brainstorm, concept, and clearly articulate creative ideas in a highly collaborative, fast-paced work culture
  • Readiness and willingness to mentor copywriters
