Roadway Repair and Maintenance (RRM) Contract Management team is responsible for managing DOT's milling contracts. These milling contracts are used to mill the streets prior to paving by RRM's In-House Crews and are necessary to reach yearly resurfacing targets. This Unit is responsible for the milling contracts from inception through closure. This will involve procuring the contracts, from developing the design specifications and estimates for each contract, to working with DOT's ACCO in bidding and registering contracts. The Civil Engineer Intern will regularly review and accurately enter field data into the MCMU database, ensure data integrity and accuracy in the MCMU database. Provide training and assistance to other MCMU members on using the MCMU access database. Enhance team proficiency and ensure consistent use of the database. Review and process requisitions submitted by contractors, ensuring compliance and accuracy in the contractor's invoices. Perform cost estimates and generate daily average milled miles reports. Provide accurate financial and operational data for decision-making. Collaborate with other units or City agencies on different projects. Assist in preparing contract estimates and budgets and provide accurate financial data to support contract management. Prepare and manage task orders assigned to contractors, ensure clarity and accuracy in contractor task assignments. Conduct reviews of field data before entering it into the MCMU database and validate data accuracy prior to database entry.
