Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

  • Safely deliver freight to various Weis Markets retail locations in seven states including Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, New York, Delaware, and New Jersey.
  • Plan efficient routes to optimize time, fuel, and mileage.
  • Perform pre operation inspections before departure and complete associated documentation.
  • Assist in the unloading of freight and obtain manager on duty signature upon delivery.
  • Secure freight prior to departure and monitor its safe distribution throughout the trip.
  • Maintain tractor cleanliness standards by washing, cleaning, and vacuuming.
  • Adhere to all federal, Department of Transportation (DOT), state, local, and Weis Markets rules and regulations.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This associate has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Class A Commercial driver's license and 50,000 miles of driving experience.
