The New Product Introduction (NPI) Operations Senior Leader will be responsible for NPI strategic initiatives and leading a large team of professionals responsible for developing and executing standard work and influencing product design to drive predictability and repeatability into Operations. From a business perspective, the candidate will be required to assign, collaborate and communicate special projects, support NPI strategic and financial planning, and conduct training and career development sessions. The candidate should be highly motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and operate effectively with limited direction. Demonstrated ability to drive outcomes in a fast-paced, matrixed environment while exhibiting innovation, transparency, diplomacy, and strong cross-functional collaboration.

While this role supports a hybrid work arrangement, Richardson, TX is the preferred location due to proximity to the broader team. However, candidates located in Cedar Rapids, IA or Rockford, IL will also be considered based on business needs and alignment with leadership.

What You Will Do:

  • Supports Strategic and Operational Planning for MiS NPI Org

  • Leads a team of individual contributors identified as the NPI Operations Focal from product inception through a successful Gate D and/or project completion

  • Contributes to development, modification, and review of NPI systems, processes, tools and reporting methods

  • Set clear performance expectations, provide regular coaching and feedback, and support career development for team members

  • Promote a culture of trust, accountability, and operational excellence

  • Ensure adequate resourcing; manage staffing plans and succession planning

  • Collaborates with Program Office, Engineering, and Operations Manufacturing to drive Key

  • Performance Initiatives (KPIs) and provide the Operations voice in developmental decision making

  • Directs and assists OPM support to capture lessons learned for major programs and facilitates team retention of lessons to reduce risk of repeat complexities

  • Develop NPI vision and strategy for AS9145 within operations manufacturing and supply chain

  • Support business travel up to 25%

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

  • Direct people leadership experience, including but not limited to conflict resolution, change management, fiduciary and budget responsibility, communication across all organizational levels, employee coaching and development, and escalation and communication of business challenges and outcomes to senior leadership.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
