Astronics Advanced Electronic Systems (AES) is seeking a Senior or Staff Level Quality Engineer - New Product Introduction to join our cohesive and diverse team of professional problem solvers in Redmond, WA . This is a hybrid / on-site position that offers flexibility to work from home two days per week based on project needs. ** Candidates local to the greater Seattle / Redmond area are highly desired.

JOB SUMMARY The Quality Engineer - New Product Introduction (NPI) oversees and manages quality performance for new product introduction.

Partnering with our development team, the QE uses their knowledge of engineering principles and quality assurance, and understanding of other engineering disciplines, required to develop effective recommendations for quality assurance in the Astronics AES product lines. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Performs analysis of quality data to identify trends or anomalies and recommend updates or changes to company standards and procedures Assures compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards Performs internal audits and/or supplier audits as applicable Participates and provides input to changes to company quality process/procedures/guidelines Establishes, implements and maintains methods and procedures for inspecting and evaluating the precision and accuracy of inspection processes Identifies and solves problem areas within NPI. Manages actions to minimize or eliminate probability of problems occurring Facilitates root cause and performs root cause corrective action following established methods Provides trainings inside or outside the Quality organization on established process, procedures, and systems MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in an engineering discipline (Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Material Science, Computer Science, or related) Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: ERP, PLM, and Intranet (i.e., Omnify, Intuitive, SharePoint) Process auditing, Internal Auditor certification - Preferred Problem solving techniques (i.e., 5Why, Cause and Effect, 8D) Brainstorming techniques Project management Risk assessment methods (e.g., What-If, FMEA, FTA, etc.) Statistical analysis (Cpk, Pk, Distribution, X-Y analysis, etc.) Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt level skills or greater preferred) Experience: Demonstrates proficiency - typically five+ years of direct experience with the duties, responsibilities and skills of the role for consideration as Senior Quality Engineer

Demonstrates competency - typically eight+ years of direct experience with the duties, responsibilities and skills of the role for consideration as Staff Quality Engineer . ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS This position may involve access to items subject to U.S. export-control laws

Compensation Sr. Quality Engineer: $94,208 - $141,313 per year (midpoint: $117,760 ) Staff Quality Engineer: $111,929 - $167,893 per year (midpoint: $139,911 ) Quarterly Profit Sharing Bonus eligible . Factors such as experience in comparable roles, skill set, training, education, certifications, other qualifications, market conditions, and business needs influence the actual salary offered.

It is not typical to be hired at or near the top of the range.
