About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled New Product Development Operations Leader (NOL) to join the Supply Chain team in Gore Medical. In this role, you will represent Supply Chain as a Core Team member for one or more new product development efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating and operationalizing all components of the end-to-end supply chain for new product development projects in alignment with business and supply chain strategies to ensure stable, profitable, and scalable products and processes at launch.

This position offers multiple work arrangements, including on-site at a facility in Phoenix, Arizona or a facility in Flagstaff, Arizona with the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement.

Responsibilities
  • Develop the New Product Development (NPD) Supply Chain system requirements and key performance indicators to monitor progress and ensure execution towards Supply Chain Stakeholder Requirements
  • Align with the Supply Chain & Process Architects and/or Product Operations Leaders to develop and ensure sustainment of manufacturability goals and key performance indicators for the product throughout the development life cycle ensuring an on-time launch with a reliable supply chain
  • Assess and drive manufacturability of the overall product and process design throughout the design and development cycle to achieve stakeholder and system requirements. Ensure supply chain is set up to scale at rate for new product launch
  • Leverage the Gore Business System (GBS – a systemic approach for driving performance improvement daily across the Enterprise), embedding its principles into daily operations and leadership behaviors, to create a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
  • Drive alignment across engineering and end-to-end supply chain capability teams to understand and execute to NPD project team needs, timelines, and goals.
  • Ensure the delivery of materials, components, products, equipment, services, and completion of NPD process Supply Chain deliverables in alignment with mutually agreed project goals and milestones, strategies for leveraged capabilities, and business supply chain architecture
  • Define and as required provide leadership to operational support team
  • Identify commercialization and supply chain risks and drive appropriate mitigation strategies
  • Drive operational plans for life cycle scalability, launch readiness, and product commercialization across the end-to-end supply chain, including integration during all lifecycles with forecasting for financial outlook and Sales & Operations Process (S&OP) for NPD and commercial production
  • Establish clear expectations of equitable and inclusive behaviors from Associates and act immediately to appropriately address negatively impactful or unfair behavior
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years of experience in supply chain, engineering, manufacturing operations, or related fields, or an equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible professional experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in supply chain, engineering and/or manufacturing operations roles across multiple stages of the product life cycle
  • Minimum of 2 years demonstrated effective cross-functional leadership, including the ability to influence and align stakeholders across new product development and supply chain
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and maintaining an inclusive work environment with clear understanding of equitable practices
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing operational strategies, performance metrics, and risk mitigation plans to deliver on supply chain requirements
  • Demonstrated depth of knowledge in end-to-end supply chain for medical products or similarly regulated industry, and ability to apply this knowledge to integration of end-to-end supply chain capabilities throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Demonstrated knowledge of design for manufacturability, lean manufacturing and problem-solving approaches, and the ability to apply this knowledge to supplier base, manufacturing, product & process design
  • Demonstrated knowledge in assessing cost-drivers, manufacturability, and scalability, with ability to apply to this to development and execution of launch readiness and commercialization plans that support reliable, scalable supply chain performance
  • Strong written/oral, organizational, data analytical skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%, may increase based on location of projects
Desired Qualifications
  • MBA and Minimum 10 years Supply Chain Leadership experience
  • Experience in medical device new product development and/or new product introduction/launch
  • Experience identifying customer and business needs and translating to objective Supply Chain requirements and product development strategies
