About Hilton Mechanical

We are a growing mechanical contractor specializing in industrial piping, skid fabrication, and equipment installation. Our team works on a mix of shop-built systems and field projects, giving employees exposure to a variety of hands-on work. We invest in training and always give our employees the opportunity to expand into new areas of the trade.

Overview

We are seeking Pipefitters who are experienced with Plastic Fusion to join our team. Work will primarily be performed at shops and construction sites in Cartersville, GA and Alpharetta, GA. Travel to other jobsites and shops may be needed.

Candidates must be willing to travel to locations as needed.

Pay Range: $24/hr - $34/hr

Requirements

  • Prefabricate plastic fusion piping spools from isometric and fabrication drawings
  • Perform socket fusion, butt fusion, and electrofusion on PP-R, PP-RCT, and HDPE systems
  • Cut, face, align, heat, and join pipe and fittings
  • Operate McElroy and other fusion equipment
  • Inspect and verify fused joints for quality and dimensional accuracy prior to spool completion
  • Learn new fabrication and fitting processes and techniques
  • Maintain consistent quality requirements
  • Maintain an organized work area
  • Track spool progress and report fabrication status to the shop foreman
  • Work safely with rigging, lifting equipment, and other work permits
  • Follow all HMC safety policies, PPE requirements, and applicable OSHA standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of hands-on plastic fusion experience (PP-R, PP-RCT, or HDPE)
  • Demonstrated ability to perform socket fusion, butt fusion, and/or electrofusion
  • Ability to read isometric drawings and fabricate spools to dimensional tolerances
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites across Georgia
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively as part of a team
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
  • Forklift, scissor lift, fall protection, or boom lift certifications
  • NIRON, Aquatherm, or other applicable fusion certifications
