Job description

Nanny Position in Franklin Lakes

A family in Franklin Lakes is looking for a nurturing, loving, communicative family to care for their children, ages 2 years old and 3 years old. This family is expecting a third child due in October 2026. The family is flexible with the schedule, with the current schedule to be either 11/11:30AM until 7/7:30PM. This schedule is also subject to evolving when the baby arrives. This family would also appreciate someone who is open to an occasional weekend or date night with advanced notice. However, Mom is seeking someone to be flexible with her. The candidate must be able to travel with the family 1-3 times a year. There is some flexibility with time for the right fit. This home is open to accepting part-time candidates who are willing to transition to full-time.

Duties for this position may include preparing basic snacks and cooking for the children, basic tidying after the children and common areas, and doing the family's laundry. Nanny may be requested to let the dogs out into the fenced-in backyard.

The ideal candidate for this home is a loving, nurturing, multitasker who is also a good communicator. Someone who takes initiative and honors the family's values is also appreciated. The ideal nanny is able to navigate the children and is comfortable switching back and forth between 1 to 2 to 3 children. The nanny will be excited to see the children and be able to get children excited as well. Someone who can swim or is comfortable standing in height water is required. Mom will likely be busy when the new baby arrives, so someone who is proactive and able to work as a team with Mom is ideal for this home. Some college is appreciated but not required.

The 3-year-old is smart, decisive, protective, kind, and engaging. He loves sports, dinosaurs, cars and trucks. Activities for him may include soccer. The 2-year-old is spirited, playful, assertive, confident, and passionate. She loves dolls, animals, art, and swimming. Her activities include going to gym and dance.

These parents are committed and dependable. Their approach to discipline includes timeouts and open communication. The father is hardworking, organized, loyal, and provides a stricter, protective presence, always ensuring the family is in good hands. The mother is social, compassionate, dedicated, and caring, with a strong emphasis on expressing gratitude. The family is looking forward to collaborating with the nanny as a partner and engaging in daily discussions to support the family effectively.

Benefits include salary plus paid vacation days off, paid holidays off, paid sick days off, and paid personal days off.
