Job Summary: The Manager, Corporate Communications - New Horizon works collaboratively with the Communications department overseeing the construction program at the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA) leading both internal and external communications efforts. This role is responsible for elevating the New Horizon brand and educating the public on the growth and development of Nashville International Airport® (BNA) and John C. Tune Airport® (JWN). Other responsibilities include supporting the planning, development, and implementation of public relations, media relations, social media, and other communications strategies to promote New Horizon and MNAA's mission.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Leads the overall communications strategy for New Horizon I and II, as well as MNAA’s broader growth initiatives.
  • Assists the Director of Communications with media relations activities, including drafting press releases, talking points, and social media posts that provide clear, often technical, information about New Horizon and other growth projects.
  • Provides timely, accurate information to the public about BNA’s growth to build support and momentum for the airport's development plans.
  • Oversees updates to the MNAA website and act as the primary liaison with the website vendor for content related to New Horizon I and II, as well as future construction projects.
  • Coordinates with photographers and videographers to document and highlight key projects and events. Write and produce branded collateral for New Horizon and special construction projects, including messaging, fact sheets, media tours, and event materials.
  • Fosters and maintains positive relationships with MNAA employees, airport tenants, and business partners to ensure consistent, relevant communication that promotes the airport's image and interests.
  • Ensures communication practices adhere to MNAA policies, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Assists in the budgeting process and manage vendor invoices related to the New Horizon communications efforts.
  • Provides guidance and leadership to the communications team, fostering a service-oriented, high-performance work environment.
  • Maintains regular on-time attendance.
  • Follows all safety regulations.
  • Supports MNAA's commitment to its culture and values, including Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence (RISE).
  • Performs other duties as assigned specifically related to the New Horizon construction program.
