Job description

The Professional Maintenance Manager leads the maintenance department within the center. The PMM manages the activities of the Maintenance Supervisors, Professional Maintenance Specialists (PMS) at some plants and respective skilled trades’ employees. The PMM is responsible for a high level of technical understanding related to all components and equipment within their respective Center.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Leads and develops the maintenance staff to eliminate top machine losses.

Ensures technical and methodological support is provided to the departments in order to guarantee proper functionality and improvement of the equipment.

Ensures detailed analysis of Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE)/ Overall Line Efficiency (OLE) indicators, proper machines classification and validation of recovery plan appropriateness.

Defines the correct maintenance strategy to be carried out in relation to the production plan, available resources and budget.

Ensures correct data collection processes, assesses maintenance activities and manages spare parts storage strategy.

Assures focus on Stellantis Industrial System (SIS) Autonomous Maintenance (AM) / Professional Maintenance (PM) activities.

Supports all aspects of production processes including safety, quality, delivery, cost and morale and drive successful implementation of SPW processes and standards.

Manages the activities and priorities of maintenance area supervisors, professional maintenance leads, professional maintenance specialist and respective skilled trades’ employees.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or High School diploma/GED and journeyperson and minimum of 5 years of industrial automation maintenance experience including some supervisory
  • Ability to work any shift and overtime as required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various levels of employees within all areas of the Plant from hourly represented employees to Senior Leadership as required
  • Ability to build effective business relationships with plant leadership and customers
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to coach / mentor / develop team members
  • Goal oriented self-starter with ability to lead team
  • Experience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing
  • Troubleshooting and programming experience in one of the following: controls, robotics, drives and system level communication systems, sealing systems, glass cell systems, various conveyance systems, welding - all types, paint process and associated systems, vision systems and sensors use and application.
  • Experience with machine, systems operation and integration
  • Must possess a working knowledge of advanced technical problem-solving tools
  • Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in technical/engineering field (i.e., BSME or BSEE)
  • Previous experience working in a union environment.
  • Production/maintenance supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Seven or more years maintenance experience in a manufacturing/automotive environment
  • Knowledge of machining, assembly, heat treat, and welding processes
  • Experience with Industrial controls and robotics troubleshooting and installation
