Overview

Registered Nurse - Naperville - Pain Management ASC

Position Highlights:

  • Full-Time: 40 hours/week - 4 x 10 hours days 
  • Hours: Monday-Friday (rotating day off); 7:00am-5:00pm 
  • Location: Naperville, IL
  • Travel: Travel to other clinics for coverage if needed

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of management, the Registered Nurse is responsible for:

  • Escorts patients to and from exam rooms and readies them for physicians; takes vital signs, records medical history/symptoms, ensures medical chart/lab test results are available and complete.
  • Performs telephone triage, patient education, handling of physician phone calls, pharmacy calls; may assist by calling to set up appointments or arrange hospital tests or admissions.
  • Administers immunizations and minor treatments as prescribed; records and documents all such activities in the chart.
  • Assists physician with procedures as necessary.  Lead apron required during procedures.
  • Assists with procedures including patients with conscious sedation.
  • Respond to patient questions and concerns as liaison between physician and patient.
  • Reports all test results to the patient as directed by the physician.
  • Utilizes current nursing practices to provide patient care while focusing on the needs of the patient and exemplifying service excellence, care, concern, respect and cooperation. 
Qualifications
  • Current IL RN licensure
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
  • Current BLS certification required; ACLS required but could be obtained if hired within 3 months 
  • Prefer a minimum of one year of professional nursing experience in a clinical or hospital setting but may consider new grad under specific circumstances

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $32.67-49.01 with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
