BMC is a local, independent, and physician-owned medical group with over 20 primary and specialty care departments, 90 providers, and 325+ clinical and support professionals. Since our founding by 10 physicians in 1949, we have grown and evolved to meet the needs of Boulder County and beyond.

We currently have clinics located in Boulder (2 locations), Louisville, Longmont, and Erie.

Summary:

BMC is currently seeking experienced and new grad Registered Nurses (RN) to join our team in our ASC / GI Lab. This position will work full-time, 36 hours per week in the ASC / GI Lab hours are approximately 7:30 am - 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. This position will enjoy evening, weekends, and major holidays off.

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Duties:

  • Supports the provider in a variety of patient care duties and performs related clerical duties in accordance with the area assigned
  • Rooms patients, collects vitals and records all medical information in the patient's Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Prepares exam rooms for provider's use, collects specimens, administers and documents all prescribed, OTC medication and drug samples per protocols
  • Performs routine and special nursing procedures per the provider's order
  • Teaches nursing procedures to patients and their families regarding specific out-patient medical care as needed



Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be able to recognize and identify patient's symptoms and use appropriate professional judgment in course of action.
  • Possesses a broad knowledge base of general nursing practice, knowledge of acute practice based on skill level, licensure and scope of practice.
  • Requires good nursing assessment skills and knowledge of the post anesthesia care unit, including medication reactions and monitor interpretation.
  • Good history-taking skills, strong, competent computer skills
  • Possesses accurate and complete documentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability of good time management and organizational skills.
  • Relates well and communicate with patients, providers, and staff.
  • Ability to demonstrate self-direction in establishing priorities and working with little supervision.
  • Ability to maintain high level of precision in judgment, accuracy of assessment, and skill in problem solving under stress based on skill level, licensure and scope of practice.
