Every Nurse has a voice and is a partner in what happens at New England Baptist Hospital
New England Baptist Hospital in Boston is an orthopedic surgical specialty hospital that does more complex orthopedic surgery than our neighboring academic medical centers combined. We do more total joint procedures than any other hospital in Massachusetts. In fact, we are a leader in orthopedic surgery nationally. We have 16 operating rooms in Boston and an 8 room Ambulatory Surgery Center just outside Boston in Dedham, Massachusetts.
Our Magnet designation supports nurses and fosters our fundamental commitment to deliver the highest quality of nursing care to our patients in a safe environment. Our expert team is committed to advancing musculoskeletal clinical care, research, and innovation. We take tremendous pride in restoring function and mobility for our patients.
We have a rich professional practice environment, where every nurse has a voice and is a partner in what happens at "The Baptist". All nurses have the opportunity for advancement within our Professional Advancement Program. We consistently share our knowledge and innovations nationally at conferences. It is very satisfying to practice in a high reliability organization that supports advancing nursing practice with research and colleagueship. Our institution is nationally recognized for our exceptional patient experience and low infection and readmission rates. Our robust performance improvement strategy fosters inquiry that results in clinical and operational enhancements.
We are well known for our positive culture that we built together, the Baptist Way. We treat each other, our patients, visitors and peers with dignity and respect in every interaction. We celebrate our diversity and inclusion by providing a warm welcome to everyone who comes through our doors. Leadership is approachable and engaged, and nursing is truly respected by surgeons. The secret is we build great relationships and own the patient and employee experience which means we are empowered to improve it. Every member of the team is valued and appreciated and that is evident by our great teamwork.
Just in case you are thinking, this couldn't get better, it does. Being a specialty hospital without an emergency room allows for more predictability for work/life balance. We also offer a Nurse Residency program that is exceptional. We would love to tell you more.
