Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced NICU RN for a 13-week travel contract at a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, working night shifts with every-other-weekend requirements.

Details
  • Position is in the Neonatal ICU (NICU) of a Level I Trauma, academic teaching hospital with 228 staffed beds
  • Patient ratio is 1:2–3
  • Floating may be required to the Postpartum unit
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:30 PM – 8:00 AM
  • Every other weekend (EOW) required
  • No on-call required
  • Self-scheduling is available during a designated request period, subject to manager approval for schedule balance
  • Charting is done in Cerner
Requirements
  • Active DC RN license required
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications required
  • Prior NICU nursing experience required
  • Valid driver's license (DL) and Social Security card (SSN) required for consideration
  • Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
  • Scrub color required: Royal Blue
  • Parking is the responsibility of the traveler; options include street meter parking, daily/weekly/monthly hospital parking passes, and public transportation via the Green and Yellow Metro lines
