Job Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive and critical care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), monitoring vital signs and managing life-sustaining treatments. Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and blood products as prescribed by physicians, ensuring precise dosing and patient safety. Operate and monitor advanced medical equipment, including ventilators, infusion pumps, and hemodynamic monitors. Assess and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions, initiating appropriate interventions and escalating care when necessary. Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary ICU team, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other nurses, to develop and implement individualized care plans. Perform routine and emergency procedures, such as intubations, central line placements, and cardiac monitoring. Provide emotional support and education to patients' families, explaining complex medical information and updates on the patient's condition. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in electronic health records (EHR), ensuring all patient interactions, medications, and procedures are properly recorded.
