Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical
Location: Central Maine Medical Center, Lewiston, ME
Employment Type: Full-time | Night Shifts | 7 PM – 7 AM | 12-Hour Shifts
We are excited to welcome newly graduated RNs and provide a comprehensive residency program, practical training, and dedicated mentorship to enhance your confidence and clinical abilities.
New Grad Residency Program- Skills training and continuous education
- Opportunities for career advancement
- Deliver direct care to assigned Medical-Surgical patients.
- Conduct ongoing assessments and monitor patient conditions and responses to treatments.
- Communicate any changes in patient conditions, diagnostic results, and symptoms to physicians.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as prescribed.
- Educate patients and their families while guiding nursing support staff.
- Respond promptly and accurately to changes in patient status.
- Maintain precise and timely clinical documentation.
- Ensure adherence to patient safety, HIPAA, and regulatory standards.
- Must possess a current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS certification required upon hire and must be maintained.
- ACLS certification preferred within 30 days of hire and must be maintained.
- Previous experience in an acute care hospital setting is preferred.
- Experience with ventilator management is preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
